Technical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be instrumental in researching, designing, and building highly reliable, available, and scalable platforms. You will take complete ownership of the services your team manages, leading by example, mentoring, and guiding team members in structured problem-solving and best practice development. Your responsibilities will include platformizing components into reusable libraries, utilities, and services, and owning large technical deliverables, executing them with excellence. You should be adept at quickly conceptualizing and developing prototypes. This role involves driving the team's technical roadmap in collaboration with Engineering and Product teams, focusing on Distributed Systems Architecture, component modeling, data flow, scaling, and managing large datasets. You will articulate system requirements, comprehend complex problems, and identify high-level building blocks. Key areas of focus include Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) such as Scalability, Fault-Tolerance, High Availability, Sharding, Replication, Load Balancing, and Application-level Security. We expect you to take high ownership of complex system components and drive them to the next level. Machine coding skills, including writing modular, object-oriented code with NFR implementation, abstractions, separation of concerns, concurrency, thread safety, and extensibility, are essential.

Requirements:

• Deep expertise in at least one programming language and tech stack.
• Substantial experience in building complex and scalable solutions.
• Strong object-oriented design skills, proficiency in applying design patterns, and the ability to design intuitive module and class-level interfaces.
• Demonstrated ability for deep problem-solving and building elegant, maintainable solutions to complex challenges.
• Experience leading multi-engineer projects and mentoring junior engineers.
• Experience with full life cycle development in any programming language on a Linux platform.
• Comprehensive operational experience, including optimizations, deployments, and tuning servers like Apache, MySQL, Tomcat, and Solr.
• Prior experience with Agile software methodologies (XP, Scrum), TDD, and Continuous Integration (CI/CD) is advantageous.
• B.Tech, M.Tech, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
• High technical acumen and rich technical experience.
• Experience in building data-driven web application design and development is a plus.
• Expert-level experience in building scalable, large, and complex business applications using relevant technologies and mentoring junior engineers.
• Deep expertise with programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, Ruby, PHP, or any object-oriented high-level proprietary or open-source language with strong programming constructs.
• Strong System Characterization and identification of technical requirements.
• Expertise in Architectural and Design Choices, with deep knowledge on one or more tech stacks, and the ability to identify alternative tech choices and their trade-offs.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to identify feasible alternatives, and freeze on the optimal choice of data structures and advanced algorithms.
• Ability to thrive in fuzzy and complex environments.
• Good exposure to both technical breadth and depth.
• Proficiency in Metrics and Monitoring.
