Full Job Description
Hilti Technology Solutions India is seeking a Technical Engineer I to join its global value engineering HUB in Pune, India. This role serves as the primary technical resource, responsible for actively supporting, driving, and managing projects and account developments through various stages. You will collaborate with Lead Engineers, Project Managers, and Lead Modelers from Hilti Market Organizations and Project Management Offices worldwide, acting as a key technical driver and product advocate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of Hilti and Oglaend engineering solutions, including modular support, post-installed anchoring, direct fastening, firestop, cable tray, and ladder systems.
- Possess familiarity with product lines essential for engineering relevant solutions, such as electrical, direct fastening, measuring tools, and tooling.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation packages for engineering applications, including structural analysis reports, drawings, bills of materials, installation manuals, specifications, and inspection reports.
- Respond to functional and technical inquiries within RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
- Effectively communicate, understand, and convey customer and project requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence in company databases.
- Adhere to VE HUB/PMO workflows and guidelines.
- Stay current with energy, industry, and building construction-related codes, standards, and guidelines.
- Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 1-5 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in structural steel design.
- Experience with International Standards & Codes is preferred.
- Proficiency in basic structural engineering software (e.g., STAAD-PRO, R-Stab).
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and Mathcad.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of AUTOCAD 3D, Revit, or Navisworks is a plus.
- Familiarity with Finite Element Method (FEM) is a plus.
- Strong structural/civil engineering background, preferably from Oil & Gas, Power, Manufacturing, or Building Construction industries.
- Good understanding of structural analysis.
- Fair comprehension of Project Management and project/design stages.
- Good presentation and communication skills.
- Effective project coordination skills.
