Technical Engagement Manager – AI/ML (HealthCare)

Codvo.ai is seeking a dynamic Technical Engagement Manager to lead a forward-deployment engineering POD embedded within a prominent medical device client. This multifaceted role sits at the convergence of video-based machine learning, data-driven use case discovery, and customer-facing program execution. You will collaborate directly with the client’s sales organization and their end customers, often on-premises, to identify, shape, and deliver high-impact opportunities for video data monetization.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between the client’s sales channel, end customers, and the deployed engineering POD.
• Lead discovery sessions, on-site observations, and requirements gathering for video-based machine learning initiatives.
• Translate observed workflows and customer challenges into structured AI/ML use cases.
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to define model development, data preparation, and validation efforts.
• Manage the end-to-end engagement lifecycle, from opportunity identification through successful delivery and customer success.
• Ensure technical alignment, effective risk management, and adherence to timelines across cross-functional teams.
• Develop and present commercial proposals, ROI analyses, solution roadmaps, and compelling value narratives.
• Oversee stakeholder communication, progress reporting, and executive updates.
• Guarantee compliance with healthcare/medical device regulatory standards when handling sensitive video data.
• Foster a culture of experimentation, rapid iteration, and hypothesis-driven development within the POD.

Required Qualifications

• Over 8 years of experience in customer-facing delivery, technical program management, or AI/ML engagement leadership.
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, particularly video analytics, computer vision, and supervised learning workflows.
• Proven experience in the healthcare, medical device, or other regulated environments dealing with sensitive data.
• Ability to translate ambiguous customer needs into well-defined technical requirements.
• Exceptional communication, storytelling, and client management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work on-premises with clients, driving hands-on discovery and solution design.
• Strong commercial acumen, including experience with pricing, proposal creation, and value modeling.
• Capacity to lead cross-functional engineering teams in a dynamic, field-deployed setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in data science, computer vision, or ML engineering.
• Prior experience in forward deployment engineering, field engineering, or consulting.
• Knowledge of FDA/medical device regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with video annotation tools, model training pipelines, and edge-deployment workflows.
