Technical Architect

Role Overview:

We are seeking a visionary Technical Architect to lead our engineering organization at EDMO. In this executive-level role, you will define the technical strategy for our AI-driven product portfolio while building and mentoring world-class teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership by driving architectural decisions across backend services, API design, and system architecture using Node.js/NestJS and React/Angular ecosystems.
• Mentor a high-performing team of 5-8 senior engineers specializing in AI, Salesforce integration, and full-stack development.
• Establish industry-leading standards for telemetry, observability, monitoring (logging, tracing), and security protocols across distributed services.
• Foster an environment of continuous innovation, technical excellence, and professional growth within a collaborative culture.
• Collaborate directly with product management, design teams, university clients, and stakeholders to align technical execution with business goals.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 10+ years of comprehensive software development experience with at least 6 years focused on backend architecture and engineering leadership.
• Proven expertise in designing scalable microservices, event-driven architectures, and robust API gateways using Node.js/NestJS/TypeScript.
• Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams through Agile/Scrum methodologies while implementing best-in-class DevOps practices (GitHub Actions, Cloud Build).
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native platforms: GCP preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable. Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and container orchestration.

Tech Stack Requirements:

• Backend: Node.js / NestJS (Production-grade), TypeScript, Microservices patterns.
• Frontend: React or Angular with strong component architecture skills.
• Observability: Distributed tracing tools like OpenTelemetry, Datadog, New Relic; alerting pipeline design.
• Databases & Caching: PostgreSQL/MongoDB/Redis integration and management.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Background in EdTech, SaaS, or B2B technology sectors with successful product launch track records.
• Deep experience integrating AI/ML models into production workflows.
• Salesforce ecosystem knowledge and integration expertise.
• GCP certifications (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery) and advanced degree in Technology/Business.
