Tech Lead

As a Tech Lead at Simplilearn's Bangalore office, you will play a pivotal role in driving our quality assurance initiatives. Your responsibilities will include defining comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure full functional, performance, regression, and UAT coverage. You will own the entire defect lifecycle, including UAT, root cause analysis (RCA), and release readiness. Ensuring production validation and effective risk mitigation will be key aspects of your role. You will be instrumental in designing and scaling robust automation frameworks for both UI and API testing, focusing on improving test stability, coverage, and reducing flaky tests. Conducting automation code reviews and integrating automation seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines are essential. You will manage Jenkins pipelines, handle deployments, trigger builds, and troubleshoot build failures to ensure release stability and consistent automation execution. A crucial part of this role involves leveraging GenAI for test case generation, data creation, and script optimization, as well as enhancing defect analysis and impact assessment. You will drive the adoption of AI within our QA processes, lead and mentor QA team members, and oversee sprint planning, estimations, and QA metrics. Your ultimate goal will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality releases on time.

Requirements:

• A strong understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proven experience with cross-browser and responsive testing.
• Proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman.
• Ability to validate end-to-end workflows across multiple services.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• 5-6 years of combined experience in Manual and Automation QA.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Playwright or Cypress.
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, Jenkins CI/CD, and Agile methodologies with Jira.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Good to Have: Experience with Selenium, Docker, Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and Performance Testing.
