TEAM LEAD – BACKEND DEVELOPER

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead – Backend Developer to lead our engineering team at Techostinger India Private Limited. You will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, REST APIs, and modern cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of backend developers to deliver quality software products.
• Design and develop scalable backend applications and robust RESTful APIs for microservices architecture.
• Manage end-to-end development using Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, Redis, and third-party integrations.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews to ensure adherence to industry coding standards and best practices.
• Own system design decisions, ensuring optimal performance, security (JWT/OAuth/RBAC), and reliability.
• Foster collaboration with frontend engineers, QA analysts, DevOps specialists, and product managers.
• Oversee task allocation, sprint planning, project delivery timelines, and technical issue resolution.
• Provide support for CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation (Docker/Kubernetes), and production troubleshooting on AWS/Azure/GCP environments.

Required Skills

• 6–10+ years of hands-on backend development experience with a proven track record in Node.js, Express.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and MongoDB.
• Deep knowledge of REST API design principles, Microservices architecture patterns, JWT authentication, OAuth flows, and RBAC implementation.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools including Git version control, CI/CD workflows, containerization (Docker), and orchestration basics.
• Demonstrated experience working in Agile or Scrum environments within product-based companies.
• Strong leadership qualities, technical communication skills, debugging expertise, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience leading teams at a SaaS or product-focused technology company.
• Familiarity with message brokers like RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures.
• In-depth understanding of Kubernetes for container orchestration and advanced system design concepts.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
