Senior Cyber Security Engineer - Cloud Security (Gurgaon, India)

Join EY's Technology Consulting team as a Senior Cyber Security Engineer specializing in Cloud Security. In this role, you will be instrumental in establishing, maintaining, and strengthening relationships while ensuring the delivery of high-quality cybersecurity services and deliverables for our global clientele. You will identify and escalate potential business opportunities within existing engagements and proactively manage engagement risks.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented Senior professional with hands-on experience in cloud, application, and/or infrastructure security, as well as technology risk management within highly regulated environments. This role demands exceptional organizational and communication skills to work on diverse cloud security engineering projects worldwide. You will focus on developing security architectures that address sector-specific challenges and leverage third-party security tools for solution delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert security guidance to engineering and development teams, ensuring security requirements are integrated into projects.
• Develop and create repeatable security patterns and blueprints for cloud infrastructure and applications, covering areas like network design, database access, authentication, encryption, key management, identity management, logging, and secure data transfer.
• Apply significant technical expertise in Cloud Computing technologies, scripting (Python), integrating third-party monitoring and encryption tools, and understanding forensics best practices.
• Lead and manage business development efforts, including proposal writing, effort estimation, and client relationship development.
• Contribute to cloud security strategy, conduct discovery assessments, and ensure compliance with cloud security frameworks.
• Design and develop robust security architectures for cloud, multi-cloud, and hybrid-based systems.
• Engage with senior account stakeholders to identify requirements and understand project context.
• Translate complex technical cloud security requirements into business terms for CXO-level stakeholders.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with private cloud security technologies such as Openstack, VMware, Hypervisor, and MS full stack.
• Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Puppet, Chef).
• Knowledge of public cloud security practices and product offerings across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Ali Cloud.
• Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) technologies like OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and SAML 2.0.
• Hands-on development experience in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python).
• Hands-on experience with automation and CI/CD tools and practices.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, GitHub, and Ansible.
• Coding skills in Python and KQL.
• Understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction at all levels.
• Ability to create comprehensive documentation for diverse audiences, including code documentation.
• Comfort working with geographically distributed teams.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security and Cloud Security domains.
• Minimum B.Tech. or equivalent educational qualification.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCSK.
• Product certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, or Ali Cloud are preferred.
• Product knowledge and certification for tools like Terraform, Sentinel, Rego.
