Systems Engineer

Tessera Labs, a leader in enterprise AI adoption, is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join their San Jose, CA team. This full-time, hybrid role focuses on designing, modernizing, and migrating critical CRM platforms within large enterprise environments, with a primary emphasis on Salesforce and its integration with backend ERP systems.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be instrumental in:

• Designing, building, refactoring, and remediating robust Salesforce solutions utilizing Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and declarative configuration.
• Stabilizing and modernizing complex, highly customized Salesforce orgs to enhance scalability and governance.
• Rationalizing data models, automation, and security protocols to meet enterprise standards.
• Ensuring alignment with Salesforce architectural best practices and enterprise-wide standards.
• Leading and supporting major CRM replacement initiatives, migrating from Microsoft Dynamics to Salesforce.
• Analyzing Dynamics entities, workflows, and integrations, mapping them to equivalent Salesforce functionalities.
• Developing and executing comprehensive data migration strategies, including transformation, validation, and reconciliation processes.
• Rebuilding business logic, automation, and user experiences to achieve full functional parity post-migration.
• Providing critical support for cutover planning, parallel runs, and post-migration stabilization efforts.
• Designing and implementing seamless integrations between Salesforce and key backend ERP systems like SAP and various finance platforms.
• Leveraging MuleSoft and other middleware solutions for API-led connectivity and orchestration.
• Working extensively with REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture (CDC), and ETL pipelines.
• Defining system-of-record boundaries, data ownership, and ensuring transactional integrity across integrated systems.
• Designing and implementing Salesforce Data Cloud ingestion, harmonization, and activation patterns.
• Enabling Agentforce-driven workflows and intelligent agents within Salesforce-centric processes.
• Integrating Salesforce data and workflows into Tessera’s cutting-edge multi-agent AI platform.
• Supporting modernization efforts for fragmented data and legacy CRM implementations.
• Acting as a hands-on technical contributor throughout enterprise CRM modernization programs.
• Collaborating effectively with architecture, integration, AI, and delivery teams.
• Communicating technical risks, tradeoffs, and design decisions clearly to executive stakeholders.
• Traveling to customer sites to support critical project milestones.
• Taking ownership of production-grade solutions in regulated, mission-critical environments.
• Balancing the need for speed with auditability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.
• Contributing to the development of internal best practices for CRM migration and Salesforce architecture.

Requirements:

• 3–7+ years of experience in Salesforce systems engineering or technical consulting.
• Strong hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• Proven experience supporting CRM migration or large-scale modernization programs.
• Ability to thrive in complex, ambiguous enterprise environments.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both technical teams and executive leadership.
• Willingness to travel (primarily within the U.S.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or demonstrable progress towards CTA certification.
• Salesforce Application Architect and/or System Architect certifications.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud and Agentforce.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP systems in regulated environments.
