Systems Engineer

Altera Digital Health is seeking a Systems Engineer in Pune, India, to provide leadership and support for daily operations and technical issues. This role involves participating in client calls and contributing to the initiation and planning phases of organizational projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) on cloud technologies for both Linux and Windows Servers, including installation, upgrading, and supporting applications such as SQL, IIS, and in-house applications. Responsibilities include remotely maintaining and supporting applications and infrastructure (cloud and self-hosted). Experience in architecting infrastructure services with Azure, Linux, hardware, virtualization, Application Performance Monitoring (APM), and infra automation is highly desirable. Prior experience supporting these environments within the healthcare sector will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provision and maintain Azure IaaS environments.
• Manage and resolve client and project issues, ensuring closure.
• Support Allscripts applications hosted on Windows Server.
• Mentor team members to enhance skills and promote consistency.
• Collaborate with Product lines to understand and improve team services, aiming for client satisfaction.
• Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Allscripts Hosted applications and adhere to internal and external Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Guide and mentor associates on technical challenges, identifying and implementing infrastructure improvement areas.
• Drive continuous automation and improvement in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Work with management to achieve organizational goals and KPIs.
• Proactively manage service upgrades based on new technological developments and propose strategies for client migration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proven experience in supporting cloud infrastructure is essential; Azure experience is a significant advantage.
• Certifications in relevant data center operations technologies are beneficial.

Experience Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in supporting 24x7 cloud support, implementation, and day-to-day operations.
• Proficiency in cloud deployment of VMs, Storage Accounts, VNets, Key Vaults, NSGs/ASGs, and other cloud resources.
• Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working experience with Azure Security Center, Patch Management, Desired State Configuration, and file integrity monitoring services.
• Understanding of cloud networking, backup, and Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts.
• Experience supporting Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, File Server, Active Directory (AD), DNS, IIS, and SQL.
• Healthcare IT experience is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years in a lead role for implementation or project teams.

Travel Requirements:

• Ability and willingness to travel internationally on a short-term basis as required.

Working Arrangements:

• May require on-call support outside of standard working hours for problem cases.
• Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
