Systems Engineer

Altera Digital Health is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer in Pune, India, to provide leadership and support for daily operations and technical issue resolution. This role involves client communication, participation in project initiation, and planning phases. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in deploying Infrastructure as a Code on cloud technologies for Linux and Windows Servers, including installing, upgrading, and supporting applications such as SQL, IIS, and in-house solutions. Responsibilities include remote maintenance and support of applications and infrastructure (cloud and self-hosted). Experience in architecting infrastructure services with Azure, Linux, hardware, virtualization, APM, and infra automation is highly desirable, especially within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

• Provision and maintain Azure IaaS environments.
• Manage and resolve client and project issues.
• Support Altera Digital Health applications on Windows Server.
• Mentor team members to enhance skills and promote consistency.
• Collaborate with product lines to improve team services and client satisfaction.
• Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for hosted applications and adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Guide and mentor associates on technical challenges and identify infrastructure improvement areas.
• Drive continuous automation and improvement in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Work with management to achieve organizational goals and KPIs.
• Propose strategies for service upgrades and technology adoption based on new developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proven experience supporting cloud infrastructure; Azure experience is a strong advantage.
• Certifications in relevant Data Center Operations technologies are beneficial.

Experience

• Experience in 24x7 cloud support, implementation, and daily operations.
• Proficient in cloud deployments of VMs, Storage Accounts, VNets, Key Vaults, NSGs/ASGs, and other cloud resources.
• Experience with Infrastructure as a Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working experience with Azure Security Center, Patch Management, Desired State, and file integrity monitoring.
• Understanding of cloud networking, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Experience supporting Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, File Server, AD, DNS, IIS, and SQL.
• Healthcare IT experience is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years in a lead role for implementation or project teams.

Travel Requirements

Able and willing to travel internationally on short-term assignments as required.

Working Arrangements

• On-call support may be required after hours.
• Work is performed in a standard office environment.
