Network Presales Engineer in Kolkata

CommScope is searching for a dedicated Network Presales Engineer to join our team in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. This role is crucial for demonstrating product capabilities and providing expert technical consulting to enterprise and government organizations. You will be instrumental in driving the architecture, design, and development of next-generation, carrier-grade wireless access points, empowering carriers and enterprises to meet the escalating demand for high-bandwidth applications and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, present, and demonstrate product capabilities to enterprise and government clients.
• Thoroughly understand customer requirements to provide consultation and design tailored architectures and solutions.
• Support the sales team during the qualification process, ensuring our products align with customer needs and assisting in technical qualification.
• Influence customers' technical requirements and effectively position CommScope products against competitors.
• Prepare comprehensive solution documents, proposals, and responses to RFQs/RFPs.
• Execute presales activities including product presentations, deployment design, demonstrations, and technical consulting.
• Participate actively in conference calls and customer visits, offering leadership for significant opportunities.
• Develop detailed technical designs, compelling presentations, and proposals as a subject matter expert.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Postgraduate Degree in Engineering.
• Mandatory CCNA certification; CCNP/CCDP is a significant advantage.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in presales roles within the networking and/or network security domains.
• Proven experience managing and engaging with enterprise customers.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both spoken and written English.
• Excellent interpersonal, time management, and team collaboration abilities.

In-depth knowledge of:

• LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Routers and Campus Switches.
• Wireless Access Points and Controllers.
• Network Access Control Solutions.
• Firewalls and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.

Expertise in creating:

• Bill of Materials (BoM).
• Scope Documents.
• High-Level Design (HLD) documents.
• Technical solution documentation (Mandatory).

• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Hands-on experience with multiple networking vendor products is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
• A quick learner with a self-starter attitude, capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
