Systems Engineer II - Testing (Onsite)
Abbott Laboratories is seeking a high-caliber Systems Engineer II to join our Cardiac Rhythm Management Division in Mumbai, India. This role focuses on Abbott’s line of Remote Monitoring products for treating and monitoring cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure.
The Systems Engineer II will ensure our implantable devices can be monitored by our cloud services, Merlin.net web application, and our line of patient transmitters and mobile apps. Working under general supervision, this engineer will support testing activities associated with these products. This includes developing and executing System Test Protocols, issuing bug reports, and conducting ad-hoc, exploratory, and regression testing of Web Applications and Mobile Apps (Android and iOS).
Responsibilities include:
- Performing system testing of Web Applications and Mobile Apps.
- Executing various test types, including manual and automated testing.
- Reporting issues, re-testing, and conducting functional, regression, exploratory, and ad-hoc testing.
- Assisting in the overall evaluation of product quality.
- Applying technical concepts and practices, with a solid understanding of product/systems fundamentals and related disciplines.
- Ensuring compliance with quality system requirements and governmental regulations.
- Demonstrating accountability for work performed and delivering high-quality products.
- Maintaining the Remote Care Systems lab with up-to-date equipment and software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Experience with general engineering/science principles and laboratory skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong learning agility to understand the domain, analyze data needs, possess good communication skills, and participate effectively in various forums.
- Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and leadership in troubleshooting, suggesting alternatives, and recommending improvements for continuous quality enhancement.
This is an onsite position located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
