Systems Engineer II

Role Overview:
As a Systems Engineer II at Wabtec Corporation, you will work closely with engineering teams to support the development of innovative solutions for our Train Handling portfolio (Trip Optimizer® and Locotrol®). Your role involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying systems that optimize train performance and automate freight operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support design, requirements development, analysis, verification, and product enhancements.
• Gather and analyze customer/system requirements to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Software Engineering, Safety, Validation, and Applications teams.
• Participate in technical reviews (requirements, design, verification) throughout the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot issues and analyze system behavior under senior guidance.
• Support field testing and validation of train automation solutions.

About You:We are looking for a candidate with an AI-enabled mindset who can leverage emerging technologies to improve productivity. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science is required, along with 1-2 years of experience in systems design, requirements development, and implementation involving hardware/software engineering.
