Systems Engineer

Cloudflare is seeking a Systems Engineer, Fullstack to join their team in Bengaluru, India. This role focuses on developing and maintaining the systems that power Cloudflare's marketing website, marketing preferences, and internal applications. You will build Cloudflare Workers deployed on their edge network and Node.js and Golang services running on Kubernetes (experience with Cloudflare's product equivalents is a plus). The position requires a strong understanding of modern website development and industry best practices for backend services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing tools, frameworks, and libraries to improve the engineering and DevOps team's ability to build and maintain www.cloudflare.com.
• Optimizing the TypeScript/Astro build system.
• Building Workers using TypeScript.
• Creating services and tooling with TypeScript, AstroJS, and Golang.
• Conducting peer reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
• Planning and contributing to large-scale engineering projects.
• Collaborating with team members to foster collective success.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• Over 2 years of experience building and managing high-volume software applications, with Golang and TypeScript being advantageous.
• Proven experience in building, deploying, and operating services.
• A proactive approach to getting things done, with a demonstrated ability to build and create within small, results-oriented teams.
• Experience contributing to build systems for large application projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, alongside a curious and empathetic mindset.
• A deep understanding of web technologies, including web browsers, HTTP, JavaScript, and the DOM.
