Systems Engineer

Cloudflare is seeking a Frontend Engineer for its Marketing Engineering team in Bengaluru, India. This team focuses on building awareness and communicating Cloudflare's positive impact across various customer channels, including the website, social media, and events. You will develop the technology that enables internal teams to create compelling content and user experiences.

As a Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the layouts for Cloudflare's marketing website, marketing automation tools, and related projects. You will design CMS content models and contribute to redesign initiatives. The role requires adherence to industry best practices for web application development and a strong understanding of modern frontend technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize frameworks and libraries to enhance the company's website (www.cloudflare.com).
• Work with Astro JS, their chosen framework.
• Conduct peer reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with team members through code reviews and pair programming.
• Represent the team internally and externally through blogging and tech talks.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Over 2 years of experience building and managing high-volume web applications; proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Astro is advantageous.
• Experience in building, deploying, and operating services.
• A proactive, builder mindset with a track record of delivering results.
• Understanding of Core Web Vitals and client-side troubleshooting.
• Expertise in scaling mobile-first design strategies.
• Experience contributing to build systems for large JavaScript projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; curiosity and empathy are highly valued.
• In-depth knowledge of web technologies including browsers, HTTP, JavaScript, and the DOM.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Contributions to open-source JavaScript tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and personalization platforms like Adobe Target and Analytics.
