Systems Engineer
Wobot Intelligence is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer with 1-3 years of experience in edge or infrastructure roles. This position, based in Delhi, India, offers a permanent employment opportunity.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Linux, essential networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN), and be adept at device performance testing. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, conducting benchmarks, and meticulously documenting results. Basic scripting (Shell/Python) and familiarity with monitoring tools are advantageous.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain edge devices across various environments, ensuring optimal performance and operational readiness.
- Design and implement comprehensive benchmark suites for edge devices, covering CPU/GPU/NPU, memory, storage, and sustained load performance.
- Analyze and compare different devices and configurations, producing clear benchmark reports with actionable recommendations on optimal devices and settings.
- Develop standardized test checklists and simple automation scripts to ensure consistent testing outcomes across different locations.
- Execute routine system upgrades, firmware updates, and maintenance tasks to bolster security and enhance functionality.
- Perform in-depth system and network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, or connectivity issues efficiently.
Skills Required
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, edge computing, or infrastructure domains.
- A solid grasp of real-world device performance measurement and validation methodologies.
- Proficiency in executing structured tests, analyzing complex data, and clearly articulating findings.
- Strong administration skills in Linux-based systems, with a deep understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and VPN technologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and a talent for documenting processes and outcomes effectively.
- Foundational scripting skills (e.g., Shell scripts, Python) are considered a plus.
- Experience with logging and monitoring tools like Grafana is also an advantage.
