About the Role

We are seeking a skilled System Engineer - Protection & Automation to join our team in Gurugram. You will drive the engineering and design of critical secondary protection systems including numerical relays, Control Relay Panels (CRP), Substation Automation Systems (SAS), Power Plant Controllers (PPC) across Central, State, Private Utilities, and renewable energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create technical documentation: Protection Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), trip matrices, interlocking logic, GA drawings, and Bills of Material (BOM).
• Design Control & Protection Panels for various voltage levels and bus arrangements.
• Develop control/protection schematics for generators, transmission lines, transformers, reactors, etc.
• Configure numerical relays from Siemens, Hitachi, GE, and others.
• Prepare technical documents: FAT, SAT, GTP, TTR, FDS, heat-load calculations.
• Architect SAS/Process Bus systems using Star, RSTP, PRP, Ring topologies.
• Manage networking components (Ethernet switches, firewalls, RedBox) and protocols (IEC 61850, Modbus, etc.).
• Leverage tools like SICAM SCC, SIMATIC WinCC, RTC A8000, S8000.

Requirements:

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 2–8 years experience in Protection & Control engineering / Substation Automation.
• Expertise in secondary engineering, protection schemes, numerical relays.
• Skillset: SAS architectures, industrial networking (IEC 61850), Windows environments.
