Dynatrace Level 2 Engineer - Mumbai
Role: Level 2 Engineer (Dynatrace Configuration & Administration - 24/7 Operations)
Location: Navi Mumbai, India (Work from Office)
Shift: Rotational (24/7)
QualityKiosk Technologies is seeking a skilled Level 2 Dynatrace Engineer to join our team in Mumbai. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing our Dynatrace Managed platform for enterprise-scale applications, ensuring robust observability. You will be responsible for the configuration, tuning, and administration of Dynatrace, including OneAgents, ActiveGates, and dashboards, serving as a key liaison between L1 monitoring operations and L3/platform teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and configure Dynatrace Managed, including dashboards, tagging, synthetic monitors, and business transactions.
- Define, tune, and optimize problem detection rules, thresholds, and event correlation to enhance alert accuracy and actionability.
- Implement custom metrics, health checks, and ensure comprehensive application and infrastructure monitoring coverage.
- Perform OneAgent and Dynatrace Cluster Node upgrades.
- Onboard OneAgent for OpenShift & Kubernetes workloads.
- Set up and manage ActiveGates for custom plugins, extensions, and synthetic monitoring.
- Configure integrations with ticketing, notification, and automation tools, and develop scripts or API-based automation for configuration management.
- Set up Real User Monitoring (RUM) for applications.
- Troubleshoot issues, conduct log analysis, and ensure timely resolution.
- Manage SSL certificate renewals/removals, port checks, and firewall connectivity.
- Collaborate with Dynatrace Support to resolve issues.
- Manage incidents, service requests, change requests, and problem records.
- Participate in application and platform changes, validating Dynatrace coverage post-deployment.
- Act as a technical escalation point for L1 engineers and coordinate with L3/platform teams for complex issue resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including alert reduction and enhancements to dashboards, alerts, and coverage.
- Identify and communicate training needs.
- Work within AWS and GCP environments and possess basic Linux OS knowledge for troubleshooting.
- Adhere to best practices for performance monitoring.
Requirements:
- 2-5 Years of experience in Dynatrace Administration.
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Good to Have:
- Shell scripting and Python automation experience.
- Experience creating custom monitoring solutions using Dynatrace extensions.
