About the Role
As a Systems Engineer II at Applied Materials, you will drive innovation in the semiconductor industry by designing, integrating, and optimizing complex systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge solutions ensuring seamless subsystem integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support diverse system engineering projects spanning electrical design, mechanics, physics, algorithms, and software, understanding critical system implications.
- Create and contribute to detailed system engineering specifications within your technical expertise area.
- Perform and coordinate comprehensive tests, providing actionable feedback on new designs and ongoing improvements across product engineering and algorithm teams.
- Troubleshoot moderately complex engineering challenges related to serviceability and manufacturability.
- Liaise directly with Product Engineering during System Integration phases for assembly and final testing of new products.
- Ensure all hardware/software innovations meet rigorous market requirements, prioritizing reliability, safety, usability, and maintainability.
- Define external equipment interfaces, analyze architectural concepts, and ensure documentation remains current and accurate.
- Actively contribute to the evolution of systems architecture development processes.
