Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee hardware/software design for servers, SAN environments, data protection (backup/archive), and distributed services. Proactively monitor for failures and execute corrective actions to ensure uptime.
- SOP Development: Create and maintain standard operating procedures for equipment installation, configuration, and system operations to enhance service reliability and repeatability.
- Technical Support & Training: Provide 24x7 on-call support via pager rotation. Troubleshoot incidents, coordinate escalations, and train users/faculty on facility technology best practices.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Guide System Administrators and Associates through mentorship programs while contributing to IT project planning and corporate collaboration (Wintel Engineering, Security, Vendors).
