Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled SCADA Engineer responsible for the architectural design of SCADA systems. This role involves close collaboration with global stakeholders and third-party vendors to engineer optimal system solutions for PcVue SCADA applications across Metals, Test Benches, and Mining sectors. The position also requires expertise in Substation PcVue SCADA, SQL interfaces with Python, Excel-based engineering tools utilizing VBA Macros, C#, and Table Based Schedules.
Essential Responsibilities
- Minimum 1 year of experience in executing SCADA projects across various domains.
- Proficiency in understanding customer requirements and design documentation.
- Provide timely support for ongoing projects in adherence to company's On-Time-to-Revenue (OTR) processes.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams to deliver technically sound solutions.
- Proactively identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure strict adherence to all company and customer Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
- Identify and propose enhancements to processes, tools, system solutions, and technologies, implementing approved improvements.
- Foster synergistic relationships with other GE business entities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering.
Technical Experience (Minimum 1 Year)
- Significant application development expertise in PcVue and Table Based Schedules.
- Hands-on experience in system design, including HMI server-client configuration.
- Knowledge of report generation (Shift/Batch/Day) utilizing backend SQL and Python scripts.
- Strong background in HMI application development. Experience in backend scripting (VBA, C, C++), and database interfaces (SQL, MS Access, Python).
- Experience in developing and testing Table Based Schedules autonomously within the metal industry.
- Demonstrated experience in the development and application of virtual machines in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Experience in HMI application development, including cyber protection requirements.
- Strong computer skills, including setup of Windows applications (Windows 10 and above) and proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Experience in web-based application development.
- Experience in developing Excel-based engineering tools using VBA macros.
- Experience with IoT/VM technologies such as ESXi.

Circumstances
