KaleidEO, a subsidiary of SatSure, is seeking a dedicated Space Systems Engineer for its Bengaluru/Bangalore, India operations. This role is pivotal in achieving mission objectives through close collaboration with diverse engineering teams. Your primary responsibilities will include meticulously tracing and tracking requirements, managing system budgets, defining interfaces, and establishing verification methodologies for various satellite subsystems. This is a highly cross-functional position requiring engagement with engineers from mission design, payload development, electronics systems, and satellite systems throughout the entire project lifecycle, from conceptual design to implementation, launch, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define, manage, and track requirements for various subsystems of payloads and satellite systems.
- Analyze and interpret high-level requirements, flowing them down to sub-system engineers to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Evaluate and maintain technical budgets for different satellite subsystems.
- Conduct system-level trade studies to assess and negotiate technical proposals from subcontractors.
- Document requirements, interfaces, and compliance for milestone review presentations.
- Support cross-functional system design reviews to ensure requirements and interface compliance.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders to review design requirements, resolve issues, and develop test and integration strategies.
- Develop interface requirements, CONOPS definitions, and other design documents in partnership with team members.
- Coordinate with project management to meet project milestones effectively.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in the space systems engineering field.
Essential Skills:
- Solid understanding of overall satellite design and inter-subsystem interactions.
- Basic knowledge of EO satellite mission design principles and trade-offs.
- Demonstrated technical experience with a specific satellite subsystem.
- Proven experience working on complex engineering projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to clearly articulate system engineering approaches and objectives.
- Basic proficiency in Python programming.
- Experience with satellite platform or subsystem assembly, integration, and testing (AI&T) campaigns.
- Experience collaborating with multiple multidisciplinary teams to deliver at least one hardware product through its entire lifecycle.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with opto-mechanical systems or space payload structures.
- Familiarity with MATLAB/Python, STK, and mechanical or optics design tools (e.g., CAD - NX or Solidworks, Zemax).
- Experience in developing and maintaining interface control documents (ICDs).
- Familiarity with payload alignment and stability requirements.
- Understanding of launch load environments and qualification processes.
