System Engineer

As a Systems Engineer at Qualcomm in Bengaluru, you will engage in the research, design, development, simulation, and validation of sophisticated systems-level software, hardware, architectures, algorithms, and solutions that are critical for developing state-of-the-art technology. You will work collaboratively across various functional teams to ensure adherence to and exceed system-level requirements and industry standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a large, matrixed organizational structure is preferred.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leverage your systems knowledge to contribute to the research, design, development, simulation, and validation of systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions, ensuring compliance with system-level requirements and standards.
• Support functional analysis that informs requirements and specifications, and help define and align hardware and software standards.
• Assist in the analysis and development of system-level designs, including defining requirements, interfaces, functional/performance characteristics, and implementing new systems or modifying existing ones.
• Collaborate with team members to successfully complete project tasks, including implementing and testing features and validating system accuracy.
• Generate innovative ideas and develop novel approaches to problem-solving.
• Aid in the systematic triage of system-level problems to identify root causes and present testing and debugging results to team members.

Level of Responsibility:

This role operates under direct supervision. Decisions made will impact the immediate work area and/or work group. Communication, both verbal and written, will involve conveying basic, routine factual information. Tasks may require multiple sequential steps with flexibility in order; effective completion necessitates some degree of planning, problem-solving, and prioritization.
