Role Overview

We are seeking an exceptional SysOps Engineer to join our Technology Team at Tap Payments. You will be instrumental in monitoring infrastructure, ensuring system uptime, managing disaster recovery, and optimizing performance across Linux/Windows environments on major cloud platforms.

About the Role:

• Monitor infrastructure using tools like New Relic, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Configure alerts, dashboards, and service health checks to ensure SLA compliance
• Lead incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA)
• Manage OS-level operations including patching, tuning, backups, and restoration validation
• Execute disaster recovery (DR) plans, failover testing, and coordinate DR drills
• Maintain logs, metrics, operational documentation, and performance optimization strategies

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience
• Proven background in Systems Operations, SRE, Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure Support
• Hands-on expertise with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Mastery of observability tools: New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog
• Strong knowledge of incident/problem management methodologies
• Experience supporting AWS, Azure, or GCP environments
• Deep understanding of backup strategies, business continuity, and failover processes
• Familiarity with Nginx, IIS, systemd, virtual machines, and physical servers
• Excellent analytical skills for resolving complex operational issues in high-availability production environments
