Join UVA Community Health as a Supv Sterile Processing II in Haymarket, VA, and be part of a transformative period focused on elevating patient experiences. This supervisory role is critical for the seamless operation of the Sterile Processing Department. You will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to established standards, best practices in sterilization, and robust infection control protocols. Your expertise will guide departmental activities, ensuring the needs of patients and healthcare providers are consistently met. This position requires a deep understanding of hospital and departmental policies, infection control, decontamination, instrument assembly and sterilization, and compliance with guidelines from regulatory bodies such as AAMI, AORN, TJC, CMS, and APIC. Collaboration with leadership and UCIC teams to resolve unit issues, effective communication with colleagues and intra-operative staff, and meticulous attention to quality control and equipment maintenance are key. You will also leverage your technical skills in instrument knowledge and aseptic techniques to support surgical operations and maintain accurate patient scheduling data. This is a full-time, onsite position.
