Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Support Engineer to join our Amazon Pay team in Gurugram, India. This role involves collaborating with operations, product, tech, and program stakeholders to drive the end-to-end development, testing, launch, and continuous improvement of new category or biller onboarding.

A key aspect of this position is leveraging expertise in Generative AI and Agentic systems to enhance designs and boost builder productivity through AI-driven solutions. You will develop deep subject matter expertise, serving as the technical point of contact for your team, and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of various features and systems.

Your responsibilities will include investigating technical product and operational issues, developing effective solutions, and providing technical guidance to encourage root cause analysis. You will also take ownership of documentation improvement, identifying gaps, and creating new materials to support operational excellence. The role involves designing, developing, testing, launching, and improving self-service software products.

Strong leadership is essential, guiding team members through root cause analysis and problem resolution. You will act as a collaborative team player, sharing technical expertise and best practices across functional boundaries. Proactive partnership with various Technology teams to understand their roadmaps and assess impact on workplan designs is crucial. You will contribute to evolving program technology by gaining insights into different implementation strategies across proprietary tools, internal applications, and service architectures, implementing bug fixes and system improvements.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of software development or technical support experience
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
• Experience scripting in modern programming languages

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, operating systems, algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis
