EY in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, is seeking a Senior Consultant as an Aera Solution Builder to join the Supply Chain Tech group within the EY GDS consulting team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a leading firm and contribute to the growth of a new service offering.

Key responsibilities include translating business needs into technical specifications, performing data analysis and manipulation, and expert data modeling to simplify business concepts. You will create ER Diagrams to aid business decision-making, develop reporting systems for accessible information, and write/customize code in various Aera modules such as Data Workbench, Decision Workbench, Process Builder, UI Builder, Business Rules, and Cortex. Responsibilities also include evaluating and improving Aera Skills, generating and assuring quality reports, and developing dynamic data visualizations aligned with client requirements. Experience working with clients throughout the implementation lifecycle is expected, along with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Required skills and attributes for success include strong experience in building dynamic, interactive dashboards and ad hoc reporting, proficiency with query tools and data visualization, and the ability to drive projects or teams independently. Excellent analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports is crucial.

To qualify for this role, you must have experience as an Aera Skill Builder, expertise in BI reporting with strong Data Warehouse concepts, and robust Data Modeling skills. Expert-level knowledge of Aera skill builder modules like Data Workbench, Decision Workbench, Process Builder, UI Builder, Business Rules, and Cortex is essential. You should be experienced in creating various dashboards and presentations (e.g., line, bar, histograms, scatter, water, bullet, heat maps, tree maps), creating calculated measures and columns, and configuring Aera skills. Hands-on experience with security concepts like Row Level Security (RLS) and limiting data access is required, along with experience in sharing, publishing, and setting up RLS for reports. You should also have designed and developed stored procedures, queries, ETL processes, views, and data models to support BI Visualizations. Proficiency in handling report performance and administration, Aera Skill Builder and Aera Architect certification, and experience with web concepts like Gateways, Scheduled Refresh, Q&A, and Insights in Datasets are expected. Experience in providing permissions on reports, dashboards, and datasets using Content Packs is also necessary.

Ideally, you'll also have strong knowledge of Aera Skill Build concepts, design, and coding, with expertise in data handling to resolve client data issues. Experience in designing and developing database objects such as tables, views, indexes, materialized views, and analytical functions is beneficial. Experience creating complex SQL queries in Oracle, including SQL tuning and optimization using explain plan and SQL trace files, is preferred. Candidates should be eager to learn advanced technologies and product updates, and willing to train team members. Good verbal and written communication in English, strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are important. Experience interacting with customers to understand business requirements and translating them into BI specifications and design documents is also ideal.

What we look for in a candidate includes the ability to drive Aera Skill Development tasks. Additional knowledge of complex source system data structures, preferably in SCM services, and reporting-related developments will be an advantage.
