Supply Chain AI Automation Architect - Manager (Kolkata, India)

The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced Architects with expertise in Generative AI to manage end-to-end pipelines. Your responsibilities will include data curation, building and fine-tuning Generative AI models, and deploying them into scalable production streams. If you have a strong background in analytics, AI innovation, and large-scale data solutions, this role is for you.

This highly technical, hands-on role requires close collaboration with EY Partners and external clients to develop new business and drive initiatives across various business needs within Customer and SC&O domains. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of problems solvable by Gen AI models, with a focus on accuracy and Supply Chain industry knowledge, along with a proven track record of delivering solutions and providing technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with EY Supply Chain & Operations stakeholders and data engineering teams for high-quality data curation for model training and evaluation.
• Design, develop, and fine-tune Generative AI models using frameworks such as LangChain, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Implement solutions for data pre-processing, tokenization, and dataset augmentation.
• Deploy Generative AI models on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) or edge devices, ensuring scalability and robustness.
• Manage MLOps pipelines, including CI/CD workflows, model monitoring, and retraining strategies.
• Conduct performance benchmarking, hyperparameter tuning, and optimization to enhance model efficiency.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in Generative AI, integrating best practices into project workflows.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• 6+ years of experience in Generative AI, Machine Learning, or Analytics development.
• Proficiency in Python, with expertise in AI/ML libraries and frameworks like LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face Transformers. Experience with RAG, Agents, and Transformers is essential.
• Experience with data pipelines and tools such as Spark, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Strong hands-on experience deploying AI models on cloud platforms (AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, or Azure ML).
• Expertise in Model Development, with in-depth knowledge of LLMs (e.g., GPT-3.5, GPT-4, DALL-E, Text Embeddings Ada, LLAMA, T5, Bloom), prompt engineering, and model selection and fine-tuning techniques.
• Understanding of model pricing and ability to build cost-effective solutions.
• Experience with tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, or Airflow for operationalizing ML workflows, and Docker.
• Ability to mentor developers and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Familiarity with Vector Databases and embeddings (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate).
• Experience working on end-to-end analytics pipelines with a focus on actionable insights.
• Hands-on exposure to APIs for integrating Generative AI solutions into business applications.
• Knowledge of NLP techniques such as summarization, text classification, and entity recognition.
• Certifications in Machine Learning or cloud platforms are a plus.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of experience in ML, MLOps, and Generative AI LLMs as a Developer/Lead/Architect.
• Expertise in Data Engineering, data transformation, curation, feature selection, ETL mappings, and Data Warehouse concepts.
• Ability to design AI solutions and present them effectively to meet client needs.
• Thorough knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), Python, PySpark, Spark, and other relevant languages.
• Experience in developing end-to-end GenAI solutions and migrating them to production.
• Knowledge of Cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, Hugging Face, and Azure ML Studio.
• Knowledge of data modeling and Vector DB management and modeling.
• Ability to design and develop complex flows and processes.

Ideally, you'll also have

• A strong understanding of Customer and Supply Chain processes and operations.
• Solid knowledge of programming concepts, Cloud concepts, LLM Models, design, and coding.
• Expertise in data handling to resolve data issues as per client requirements.
• Experience in designing and developing DB objects and Vector Databases.
• Experience in creating complex SQL queries, PySpark code, and Python scripting for data retrieval, manipulation, and migration.
• Experience in model selection and tuning.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English, with strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience interacting with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into ETL specifications and design documents.
• Additional knowledge of BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc., is preferred.
• Experience with cloud databases and multiple ETL tools.
