Supervising Associate

Join EY as a Supervising Associate - SAP BTP Developer in Bengaluru, India, and build a unique career in our global Technology and Digital services. In this role, you will be part of the Talent IT Service Delivery team, responsible for the end-to-end delivery of programs and projects within the global Talent IT Landscape.

As a Senior Developer within the Solution Delivery pillar, your primary function will be to develop and test solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including Neo and Cloud Foundry environments, to support Talent IT initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Application Engineer Team Lead to develop and deliver robust technical systems, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, global guidelines, and usability design principles.
• Participate in the creation and review of essential Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documentation, including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), estimations, Solution Design Documents (SDD), and Software Architecture Documents (SAD).
• Provide support and documentation for successful transitions to production environments.
• Uphold Application Engineering methodologies, standards, and conduct code reviews.
• Offer constructive feedback on methodologies, standards, and leading practices.
• Proactively identify potential project issues, notify leadership, and define remediation plans.
• Minimize technical risks and ensure high-quality technical deliverables (code and documentation).
• Translate detailed requirements and architectural designs into comprehensive specifications.
• Assess contractor abilities and provide guidance.
• Anticipate project challenges, identify root causes, and collaborate with the team to implement effective solutions.
• Apply judgment in implementing Application Engineering processes for product design, information security, code maintainability, and reliability.

Analytical and Decision-Making:

• Hold the Service Delivery team accountable for their commitments.
• Navigate a matrix organization, balancing service line needs with firm-wide initiatives.
• Make critical decisions regarding relationship development, customer negotiations, and obstacle management.
• Identify, manage, and resolve complex issues to prevent escalations.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• SAP BTP Development (Neo & Cloud Foundry): Develop, deploy, and manage applications on SAP BTP. Leverage SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) and Node.js/Java for scalable and secure enterprise applications. Integrate applications with SAP and non-SAP systems.
• SAP HANA Cloud and HANA 2.0 (XSC/XSA): Develop and optimize complex database models, stored procedures, and views. Implement advanced analytics and performance tuning. Utilize HANA Data Provisioning tools (SDI, SDA) for data integration.
• SuccessFactors Extension Applications: Design and build custom extensions for SAP SuccessFactors using SAP BTP and SAP Cloud SDK. Integrate SuccessFactors with external systems via OData APIs and MDF. Extend functionalities using Business Rules Engine, Workflows, and UI5/Fiori.
• Security: Implement and manage security protocols like OAuth2, SAML, JWT for BTP applications and APIs. Ensure compliance with SAP security best practices.
• S/4HANA Extensions: Implement S/4HANA extensions using SAP Fiori/UI5.
• Other Skills: Relationship management (internal & external stakeholders), understanding of IT lifecycle, business acumen, negotiation, customer orientation, executive presence, strategic planning, financial and people leadership, business analysis, and basic data modeling.

Supervision:

• Maintain daily working relationships with EY ITSD and AMS Leads.
• Collaborate daily with the TCS AMS team.
• Act as a liaison between IT and the Business for the assigned portfolio.

Requirements:

• Fluent English speaker.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related business field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: 5-8 years of professional experience in SAP BTP (Neo and Cloud Foundry). 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP HANA Cloud, HANA 2.0 (XSC and XSA). Extensive experience in SuccessFactors extension development on SAP BTP. Significant experience in customer service and business management roles. Experience in the professional services industry is preferred.
• Certifications: Certification in SAP HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, or SuccessFactors is desirable.
