About the Role: Senior Program Lead (Software Engineering Data Programs) As a Strategic Project Lead, you will own and optimize production systems for our software-engineering data programs. Your mission is to transform complex research requirements into predictable delivery across quality, throughput, contributor performance, timelines, and cost. Key Responsibilities: • Program Ownership: Manage end-to-end delivery of supervised coding demonstrations, repository-level tasks, agentic trajectories, reinforcement-learning environments, benchmarks, code reviews, and rubric-based evaluations for hundreds of distributed software engineers. • Workflow Optimization: Design and manage complex workflows involving coding datasets and technical assessments. Identify bottlenecks and improve efficiency through better instructions, sequencing, incentives, review systems, and capacity planning. • Talent Management: Define contributor requirements and partner with talent teams to source, assess, onboard, train, and ramp distributed software engineers effectively. • Quality Control: Build team-lead and reviewer structures for programs involving 100–1,000+ contributors. Analyze datasets for trends and systematic errors, address root causes, and own quality-control systems to ensure high-quality technical work at scale. • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary customer contact for AI labs, communicating progress, risks, quality trends, and recovery plans. Translate research objectives into practical task specifications while pushing back on requirements that may not produce intended signals. • Technical Execution: Use Python, SQL, or similar tools to automate quality sampling, defect analysis, throughput reporting, and operational reviews. Convert successful workflows into reusable playbooks and evaluation assets. Requirements: • Proven experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder programs in software engineering, technical program management, consulting, finance, startups, operations, or similar environments. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define meaningful metrics and improve production performance. • Experience managing distributed teams, contributor networks, marketplaces, or large-scale technical operations. • Exceptional customer-facing communication skills for managing expectations and building long-term client relationships. • Ability to read/review code (Python, TypeScript, Java, Go), understand test suites, and independently assess technical work.
