Overview

Synaptics is seeking a Staff Verification Engineer to join our dynamic Silicon Engineering team. In this role, you will own all aspects of SOC verification tasks, including test plan development, System Verilog/UVM-based test bench creation, coverage analysis, performance testing, and verification flow optimization.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Collaborating with design teams to gain deep insights into SoC/IP architecture and developing comprehensive verification plans for Edge AI and Multimedia products.
• Building robust verification environments in System Verilog/UVM and executing testcases to ensure maximum coverage.
• Planning and executing gate-level simulations, debugging issues, and implementing reusable verification infrastructure across different levels of the SoC hierarchy.
• Closely working with Emulation/FPGA engineers on vector preparation and debug support.
• Analyzing system performance profiles and developing system-level verification plans based on product requirements.
• Proposing new methodologies to enhance verification efficiency, quality control, and sign-off processes for Pre/Post silicon validation.

Competencies We Value:

• Strong expertise in SystemVerilog, C/C++, UVM, SoC architecture (ARM/AXI/AHB), and industry-standard tools like Questa/VCS/Verdi.
• Experience verifying Image/Video Processing, WLAN interfaces, HDMI/MIPi/DisplayPort standards, USB/Ethernet/PCIe protocols, and compression algorithms.
• Skill in full-chip verification execution, system performance testing (Perl/Python/Shell), and low-power verification methodologies.
• A proactive, self-starting attitude with the ability to mentor engineers and solve complex problems within a fast-paced environment.
