In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining our Kubernetes platform. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing solutions using Python, Go, Ansible, and Terraform for Kubernetes platform construction.
• Configuring and managing Kubernetes clusters.
• Troubleshooting complex Kubernetes-based systems.
• Enhancing monitoring and alerting for Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Managing large-scale Kubernetes clusters, including bare metal and virtual machines.
• Collaborating within a team to implement a 'everything as code' approach for development, review, and deployment.
• Writing test plans and developing automation for declarative infrastructure across multiple cloud environments.
• Building orchestration workflows leveraging ServiceNow platform features.
• Researching and implementing new open-source and commercial tools, technologies, and methodologies.

Qualifications

To thrive in this position, you should possess:

• A minimum of 9 years of overall professional experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, security, and policy agents.
• Strong experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• A deep understanding of Linux servers, including networking, storage, and software packaging.
• Proven experience operating bare metal and virtual machines at scale in production environments, utilizing configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• The ability to research best practices and maintain high development standards.
• Proficiency in documenting and communicating system architectures.
• A strong aptitude for designing, writing, and debugging code in a team setting, along with experience in writing test specifications and understanding test automation fundamentals.
• Experience with various open-source tools used in production computing environments.
• A proactive problem-solving approach, capable of delving into the internals of DevOps tools to find solutions.
