Staff STA Engineer
Full Job Description
We are seeking a Staff STA Engineer (backend) to join Quince's engineering organization. You will drive architecture, scalability, and reliability for critical systems while operating at a strategic level to define long-term technical vision.
- Own and evolve multiple applications ensuring scalability and maintainability.
- Lead the design of complex distributed systems and platforms across teams.
- Define roadmaps for engineering excellence and conduct deep performance analysis.
- Mentor senior engineers, establish best practices in coding standards and observability, and review critical architectural decisions.
**Requirements:** Strong CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms), 8+ years of backend experience with Java/Spring Boot/SQL-NoSQL. You must have expertise in concurrency, high-performance system design, cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred), and microservices. Experience leading large-scale migrations or scaling consumer platforms is highly valued.
