Staff Software Engineer

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer (SRE) to manage our critical blockchain infrastructure and ensure system reliability at scale. In this role, you will own Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS, automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or Pulumi, optimize database scaling for terabytes of data, and maintain crypto nodes across multiple blockchains.

Key Responsibilities

• Kubernetes Ownership: Manage and scale production environments on AWS EKS, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Infrastructure Automation: Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform or Pulumi to streamline provisioning.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor system health, optimize scalability, and ensure efficient resource utilization across our global infrastructure.
• Blockchain & Database Management: Configure crypto nodes for wallet operations and architect database solutions capable of handling massive blockchain datasets efficiently.
• System Reliability: Enhance uptime and observability using industry-leading tools like Datadog and OpenTelemetry to proactively detect and resolve issues.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with backend engineering, product teams, and other stakeholders to support feature development and large-scale system scaling initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Staff SRE or Software Engineer in production environments.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Kubernetes (specifically EKS) for managing complex, distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM.
• Solid background in containerization using Docker and implementing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions like Terraform or Pulumi.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability stacks such as Datadog or OpenTelemetry.
