About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Staff Software Engineer with Ruby on Rails expertise to lead technical vision, architecture, and engineering excellence at scale. This role focuses on solving complex, ambiguous problems while shaping our AI-native development model and fostering a culture of craftsmanship.

What You'll Do:

• Technical Vision & Architecture: Lead architectural direction for large-scale systems, balancing immediate business needs with long-term health to ensure simplicity, scalability, and resilience.
• Engineering Excellence at Scale: Champion disciplined practices (TDD, Pair Programming, CI/CD) across teams, raising the bar through better patterns and tooling.
• Ai Strategy & Mentorship: Drive our AI-native development model by experimenting with tools to accelerate the SDLC while preserving deep technical judgment. Mentor senior engineers and foster continuous learning.
• Cross-Team Leadership: Act as a force multiplier through high-impact code reviews, mentorship, and influencing without authority.
• Strategic Client Partnership: Serve as a technical consultant for high-stakes engagements in India and globally, translating business goals into robust roadmaps.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: 8+ years building and maintaining high-scale production systems.
• Mastery of Fundamentals: Expert understanding of OOP, functional programming, and microservices/event-driven architecture.
• Polyglot Mindset: Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and React/Angular; ability to architect across stacks like Python or Go as needed.
• Influence & Communication: Ability to lead through persuasion and explain complex trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and executives.
• Ai Collaboration: Deep experience integrating AI into workflows for automation, architecture exploration, and peer review.
