As a Backend Software Engineer, you will build robust backend systems from concept to completion, collaborate effectively with diverse teams to create exceptional products, and drive innovation and process improvement. You will be an architect of our global payment platform, designing, developing, and optimizing core systems that power millions of daily transactions and directly impact customer experiences and company success. Your responsibilities include defining the technical roadmap, driving innovation, collaborating with product and engineering leadership, and delivering impactful solutions. Key qualifications include strong analytical skills for scalable software design, a commitment to code craftsmanship and quality tools, defining backend technology strategy, driving innovation and experimentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. We seek candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, 8+ years of backend development experience, proficiency in Java and Java EE technologies (e.g., Java language, application servers, servlet containers, JMS, JPA, Spring MVC, Hibernate), strong OOP skills, experience with design patterns, MVC, and frameworks like Spring. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, deep expertise in backend technologies and architecture, and proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with Agile/Scrum, large-scale, high-performance systems, knowledge of the payment processing industry and regulations, experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and contributions to open-source projects.
