Staff Software Engineer

Databricks seeks a Staff Software Engineer for their Infrastructure Backend team in Bengaluru, India. This role offers the opportunity to work across essential service platforms and distributed systems, addressing challenges that span product-to-infrastructure integration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solve large-scale technical problems involving at-scale service architecture, monitoring, workflow orchestration, and developer experience.
• Build reliable, high-performance services and client libraries for storing and accessing massive datasets on cloud storage backends like AWS S3 and Azure Blob Storage.
• Develop scalable infrastructure using Scala, Kubernetes, Apache Spark™, and other data pipelines to power pricing infrastructure serving millions of cluster-hours daily.

About the Role:

You will be part of a growing team in Bengaluru where Databricks is currently establishing 14 new teams from scratch. This role allows you to leverage deep technical expertise to help customers securely own and host ML models augmented with enterprise data via Mosaic AI.
