Staff Software Engineer - Storable in Hyderabad, Telangana

Storable is seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad, Telangana. This senior technical leadership role is pivotal in designing, building, and scaling our core platform. You will operate across the entire technology stack, from our robust PHP backend to our modern React frontends, and play a key part in the evolution of our AWS-powered cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality code, mentoring fellow engineers, guiding technical initiatives, and collaborating closely with product and design teams to achieve significant business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture & Design: Spearhead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and maintainable systems, encompassing our PHP backend, React frontend, and AWS infrastructure.
• Technical Leadership: Take ownership of complex features from inception to completion, influence the overall technical direction, and establish best practices for code quality, testing, and CI/CD processes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Forge strong partnerships with product, design, and business stakeholders to ensure technical solutions are aligned with product strategy.
• Mentorship & Growth: Provide expert coaching and technical guidance to engineers at various career stages, actively contributing to the shaping of our engineering culture.
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Guarantee the performance and reliability of our systems on AWS, effectively utilizing services such as RDS, ECS/Lambda, S3, and CloudFront.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and address technical debt, driving initiatives to enhance performance, security, scalability, and the overall developer experience.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: A minimum of 12 years in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior or staff-level capacity.
• Backend Expertise: Deep proficiency in PHP, including modern frameworks like Laravel/Symfony or experience with large-scale monoliths. Strong skills in MySQL or other relational database design are essential.
• Frontend Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in React, TypeScript, and contemporary frontend tooling. Proven experience in building scalable and maintainable user interfaces.
• Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with AWS services (RDS, ECS/Lambda, S3, CloudFront, IAM, networking). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies like Docker.
• System Design: A track record of successfully designing and scaling SaaS, multi-tenant, or multi-database architectures.
• Leadership: Clear evidence of mentoring engineers, leading technical discussions, and influencing product strategy.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication abilities, a capacity for cross-functional teamwork, and a customer-centric approach.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
• Knowledge of API design and integration patterns, including REST/GraphQL.
• Exposure to microservices architectures or the evolution of modular monoliths.
• Background in the hospitality, travel, or property management systems sectors.
