Role Overview
We are hiring a Staff Architect II / Tech Lead for our Demand Generation suite (Artemis). You will lead engineering quality and architecture for Artemis—Bain’s AI-driven marketing platform. As the senior engineer, you will define technical designs for data flows, AI agent architectures, and Azure-based integrations while mentoring junior engineers in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Governance: Define architecture aligned with Bain’s Azure infrastructure. Ensure maintainable solutions through rigorous code reviews, testing standards, and documentation for technical and executive audiences.
- Platform Integration: Manage API contracts, integrate Bayesian marketing mix modelling data pipelines, and design LLM orchestration/tool-calling architectures with AI Engineers to ensure reliability at scale.
- Roadmap Delivery & Leadership: Translate product initiatives into technical scopes. Lead sprint-level delivery, remove blockers, manage the engineering team’s workload, and support recruiting activities.
- Innovation: Explore emerging AI technologies via proofs of concept, turn ambiguous requirements (e.g., ROI workflows) into scoped work, and apply an entrepreneurial mindset.
About You
You have 8–10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years as a Staff Architect or Tech Lead. Expertise includes:
- Building scalable B2B cloud products on Azure (Container Apps, Functions, Docker).
- Mastery of Python (FastAPI) and TypeScript/React.
- Sophisticated knowledge of LLM APIs, agent orchestration frameworks, SQL schemas, and data quality pipelines.
