Staff Software Engineer

Bazaarvoice is actively seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, India, as we shape the future of product discovery. As a key member of the Content and Creators product unit, you will contribute to building products used by millions of consumers and thousands of businesses globally. This is an exceptional opportunity to collaborate with a team of highly skilled and passionate individuals on challenging and exciting product and technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow Engineers to enhance customer-facing products and develop sophisticated frontend components utilizing Angular and React.
• Develop robust and scalable backend services and APIs using TypeScript, Express.js, and NestJS.
• Take the lead in technical design processes and meticulously document proposed solutions.
• Focus on optimizing application performance, ensuring scalability, and refining database access patterns.
• Actively participate in code reviews, contribute to knowledge sharing sessions, and be part of on-call rotations to support our services.

Required Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in B2B SaaS or large-scale service development.
• At least 6 years of hands-on experience with TypeScript, Express.js/NestJS, MongoDB, Cassandra, and Elasticsearch.
• Demonstrated expertise in cloud environments, with a preference for Google Cloud Platform.
• Exceptional problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Proven experience in building secure and reliable web applications.
