Staff Software Engineer

About The Role

Join Hims & Hers as a Staff Software Engineer, Frontend on our Fulfillment and Pharmacy Engineering team. We are seeking an experienced technical leader to build, test, deploy, and support critical self-service platforms for pharmacy operations and customer order fulfillment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture of scalable, maintainable, and performant front-end solutions aligned with product requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders to drive adoption of common frameworks, patterns, and practices across teams.
• Foster consistent best practices and coding standards for our Front End team.
• Guide responsible AI integration in software development while maintaining the highest bar for patient safety and quality.
• Mentor engineers through pair programming, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to drive technical growth.
• Tackle technical debt, enhance workflow efficiency, and implement robust monitoring tools.
• Craft a multi-quarter architecture roadmap that empowers other engineers to deliver high-impact features.

Who You Are:

You bring 10+ years of experience setting front-end direction across multiple teams. Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks (React, React Native, NextJs), TypeScript, and back-end technologies like Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, and Redis. You excel with CI/CD pipelines using Datadog, GitHub Actions, or Circle CI.

You are a hands-on expert leveraging AI tools effectively in engineering workflows while exercising critical judgment to ensure safety and quality. Your strong communication skills allow you to collaborate seamlessly across diverse teams, prioritize multiple projects independently, and stabilize situations during uncertainty with empathy and accountability.
