Staff Software Engineer

As a Staff Software Engineer on the core platform team at Moveworks, you will shape the evolution of our conversational AI platform. You will build enterprise products that solve real-world problems using machine learning frameworks, develop scalable foundational services, and construct an enterprise data platform to meet diverse product needs.

You will partner with Product Management, UX, Customer Success, Machine Learning, and Engineering teams to define elegant solutions across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build highly reliable, performant, and secure platform building blocks.
• Influence the team roadmap and own the evolution of multiple platform areas.
• Cross-collaborate within engineering teams to provide cross-cutting solutions.
• Consistently deliver deadline-sensitive work interdependent with other teams.
• Challenge the status quo while driving continuous improvement of the platform.
• Participate regularly in peer code and engineering design reviews.

Requirements:

• 8+ years designing, building, shipping, and maintaining backend distributed systems.
• 8+ years experience with products or platforms.
• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent field.
• Experience integrating API-based platforms (REST/RPC).
• Expertise in microservices using Python/Golang/Java/C++.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Skill sets covering performance optimization, scalability, latency management, and monitoring.
• Motivation to work at a startup pace with high ownership.
• Ability to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly to stakeholders.
• Hunger for learning outside immediate discipline.
