As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer for Confluent Cloud Infrastructure in Bengaluru, you will ensure the reliability of our multi-cloud streaming platform processing millions of events per second across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Your Role And Responsibilities

• Proactive Reliability Engineering (~75%):
• Analyze systemic failure patterns to prevent incident recurrence.
• Maintain SLO/SLA frameworks using error budgets.
• Build automation and tooling to reduce toil (Rootly, PagerDuty integrations).
• Create dashboards for reliability data analysis.
• Incident Management Program (~25%):
• Owning standards and continuous improvement of incident response practices.
• Serving as an on-call Incident Commander with follow-the-sun coverage.
• Taking ownership of customer-facing Root Cause Analysis (CRCA) documentation for quality and clarity.
• Cross-Team Leadership: Partnering with engineering leaders to elevate reliability practices across a global team.
