Staff Network Engineer - Hyderabad, India

What you will do:

• Design and implement network solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with project and program managers to achieve project timelines and resolve technical issues.
• Operate and troubleshoot complex network environments to ensure rapid issue resolution.
• Lead the response and mitigation efforts for outage-causing events.
• Diagnose and document network problems, tracking them in a ticketing system.
• Conduct in-depth investigations into non-standard functionality.
• Proactively analyze network capacity and availability to prevent future outages.
• Review and prepare for planned changes to the production network environment.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends.
• Partner with teams to execute software upgrades and device maintenance.
• Mentor the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on operational improvements.
• Provide architectural feedback and contribute to the design of new network initiatives.

What you will bring:

• Proven experience in leveraging or critically evaluating AI for work processes, decision-making, and problem-solving.
• A strong foundation in networking concepts, including routing, switching, security, and load balancing.
• Over 7 years of experience with cloud computing technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) across Windows and Linux environments.
• Expertise in Azure Core Platform (Compute, Storage, Networking).
• Experience with Azure Web Apps development, deployment, and support (.NET, Java, PHP, Python, Node.js).
• Proficiency in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices using tools like DevOps, Bit Bucket, and GitHub.
• Experience with automation languages such as PowerShell, shell scripts, Perl, Python, Ansible, or Terraform is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with Internet and data center networks.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, HSRP/VRRP, IPSEC, and SNMP.
• Deep, hands-on experience with TCP/IP protocols, including traffic analysis using Wireshark or similar tools.
• Familiarity with Cisco IOS and JunOS operating systems.
• F5 and Cisco ASA knowledge and experience are strongly preferred.
• Experience with network monitoring applications (e.g., EMC Watch4Net, Cacti, Splunk) is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams.
