Join LinkedIn as a **Staff Media Systems Engineer** in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India! This hybrid role (work from home and office) is part of the **Studio Engineering** pillar, responsible for designing, scaling, and maintaining LinkedIn’s global Live Production platform across 7+ studio sites. You’ll partner with teams like Media Production, Editorial, and Learning to optimize workflows for large-scale live events and productions. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing, maintaining, and monitoring broadcast standards across studios, acting as the subject matter expert for platform operations.
- Developing and improving studio builds, media workflows, and live video encoding procedures to enhance global content delivery.
- Troubleshooting broadcast infrastructure, managing software/firmware versions, and ensuring seamless live stream operations in India.
- Collaborating with creatives, operations, and network teams to align technical solutions with content goals.
- Documenting workflows, analyzing platform effectiveness, and driving economies of scale for efficient service delivery.
**Qualifications:**
- BA/BS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years in AV/broadcast systems engineering and live video delivery.
- Familiarity with emerging IP media technologies (SMPTE 2022-6, ST 2110, AES67, Dante, etc.).
- Experience with cloud-based broadcast infrastructure, network troubleshooting, and video storage solutions.
- Strong communication skills to bridge technical and business stakeholders.
