Staff Frontend Engineer

About The Role: Join our mission to modernize how technology builds impactful solutions. As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you will define and elevate our engineering organization’s approach to frontend software across new customer-facing web and mobile experiences. This is a high-leverage role focused on architecture, platform design, and technical direction rather than line-by-line coding. You will lead the evolution of our Angular + TypeScript ecosystem (with expertise in React or comparable frameworks highly valued), guiding shared patterns, accessibility standards, performance optimization, and AI-native engineering practices. Your Responsibilities: • Set frontend architecture strategy across products, defining where to build platforms versus enabling flexibility for teams. • Lead the design system as an engineering platform: direct implementation, establish contribution/release models, and ensure widespread adoption while delegating routine tasks effectively (including leveraging AI agents). • Own frontend quality and production health proactively. Design accessibility, security, performance, and reliability into systems from day one; turn recurring failures into systemic improvements. • Engineer tools, APIs, guardrails, documentation, and defaults that accelerate team velocity without sacrificing oversight or consistency. • Establish AI-first engineering practices: specify agentic workflows with human-in-the-loop validation to ensure security, maintainability, and technical debt prevention. • Grow Senior engineers into broader ownership roles while building alignment across Engineering, Product, Design, and QA. What We’re Looking For: You possess deep frontend architecture expertise with experience setting direction for substantial applications using Angular, React, or comparable ecosystems. You understand state management, reactivity, rendering optimization, module boundaries, dependency management, browser behavior, and performance tuning at scale. Key capabilities include: • Building robust frontend platforms other teams successfully depend on (component APIs, theming, versioning, migrations). • Setting cross-team standards for quality, security, privacy, accessibility, and testing gates. • Reasoning about backend/frontend boundaries, authentication flows, observability, failure modes, and deployment strategies. AI & Modernization: You already operate with an AI-first mindset at organizational scale. You have created patterns allowing teams to delegate meaningful engineering work securely while maintaining output quality and consistency. Bonus Qualifications: • Deep, hands-on Angular expertise. • Experience owning a component library or design system used outside your immediate organization. • Contributions to open-source frontend tooling.
