Staff Engineer - Software Development Engineer and Test (SDET) at Qualcomm India Private Limited

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a talented and motivated leader to join their IoT (Internet of Things) team. This role focuses on building the next generation of IoT products, including developing scalable cloud services, infrastructure, and processes. You will be instrumental in leading test automation and infrastructure development, evaluating new designs, and validating architectural choices that significantly impact systems, business outcomes, and customer experience. Collaboration with Developers, UX Designers, Product Managers, and Program Managers is key to ensuring the quality of applications and platforms.

About the Role: Software Development Engineer and Test (SDET)

The ideal candidate possesses industry-leading technical expertise and excellent communication skills. This position requires a deep understanding of Quality Assurance principles, robust knowledge of cloud systems and application software, and familiarity with object-oriented design. The test software developed should effectively identify defects in hardware, services, and application code, as well as at component and feature integration levels.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency with Cloud Services such as AWS and/or Azure.
• 7+ years of experience building test automation frameworks and tools.
• 9+ years of professional software development testing experience (excluding internships).
• 8+ years of experience as a developer, QA Engineer, or SDET.
• 8+ years of experience in Java or C development, or white-box testing.
• 7+ years of experience in C++, Python, Shell, or Java.
• 8+ years of experience with API Automation Frameworks like Rest Assured, Restsharp, or Postman.
• 7+ years of experience with UI Automation Frameworks like Selenium or Playwright.
• 8+ years of experience with Security Testing tools such as BurpSuite, OWASP ZAP, or similar.
• 8+ years of experience in programmatically testing products, measuring test coverage, developing automation, driving testability and diagnostic capabilities, and promoting quality best practices.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and CI/CD tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, with 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 2+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
