Staff Engineer

Role: Staff Engineer (ServiceNow CMDB & Service Mapping)

We are seeking a highly experienced IT professional to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale CMDB solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role is critical for establishing data accuracy, automating discovery processes, and mapping complex infrastructure across hybrid cloud environments.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: 5.5+ years in IT with specialized focus on CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping (CIS).
• Certifications: Mandatory ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA). CIS Discovery and Service Mapping are preferred.
• Governance & Data Quality: Deep expertise in CSDM standards, IRE configuration, CI relationships, duplicate remediation, and health monitoring.
• Development Skills: Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs (Client/Server Scripts), Business Rules, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, Update Sets, and Scoped Apps.
• Discovery & Mapping: Hands-on experience configuring probes/sensors for SCCM/MECM, VMware vCenter, Azure/AWS/GCP integrations. Proficiency in Top-down Service Mapping and Multi-tier Application Modeling.
• Integrations: Ability to build REST/SOAP APIs using MID Servers to enrich data from AD/Entra ID and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and maintain CSDM-aligned CMDB structures ensuring high completeness and compliance.
• Develop pattern-based discovery solutions for business-critical applications.
• Troubleshoot complex identification issues, duplicate CI conflicts, and mapping failures.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, and Network teams to automate data synchronization.
• Mentor junior developers and drive continuous improvement on the ServiceNow platform.
