Staff Engineer

About This Role

Ladders is seeking a Staff Engineer Product Software for their Enterprise Technology client. In this remote US-based role, you will lead technical initiatives focused on cloud-enabled scalability and delivery excellence within a hybrid infrastructure environment (on-prem + AWS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain Kubernetes clusters in both on-premise and AWS environments.
• Collaborate with Principal Engineers to design tailored, reliable solutions for long-term growth.
• Provision and configure clusters using Golang, Python, Terraform, and CloudFormation (RKE1/2, CAPI).
• Perform OS updates, lifecycle management, and proactively enhance system stability.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and develop automation tools for CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure operational support excellence.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters (Kubernetes, AWS, Hybrid infrastructure).
• Strong proficiency in Golang and Python programming languages.
• Expertise with GitHub for version control and GitHub Actions for automation.
• Proven track record in system updates, upgrades, and stakeholder collaboration to translate business needs into technical solutions.
