Staff Engineer - LPI Display (Embedded Software)

About the Role:

Join Qualcomm as a Staff Software Engineer in Bengaluru to design and validate embedded software, firmware, drivers, and utilities for our cutting-edge SoC platforms. You will be a key technical leader responsible for bringing up new hardware, optimizing real-time performance, and driving innovation across ARM & RISC-V architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Firmware Development: Design low-level firmware, RTOS components (preferably Zephyr), board bring-up, and peripheral drivers for advanced SoCs.
• LPI Display Expertise: Deep expertise in display technology including frame composition/transfer, framebuffer management, color formats, font rendering, GPU understanding, Vector Graphics, and UI frameworks like PELE/LVGL.
• Heterogeneous Compute Optimization: Leverage experience with CPU, DSP, GPU, and NPU architectures to optimize AI workloads for power-constrained platforms.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with hardware, systems architecture, validation, and product teams. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex system-level issues.
• Debugging & Automation: Use advanced debugging tools (JTAG, Logic Analyzers) and Python for automation to resolve intricate hardware/software interaction problems.

Requirements:

• Experience: 9+ years in embedded software/firmware development with a Master's/PhD or equivalent experience. Strong background in RTOS, real-time constraints, and board bring-up is essential.
• Languages & Tools: Expertise in C/C++, scripting in Python (for log analysis/test automation), and familiarity with ARM/RISC-V architectures.
